Our Story
From Lagos, for the continent
Byte & Bits Technology (RC8083885) was founded in 2024 in Lagos, Nigeria by Oladele Oyewole. The thesis was simple: Africa's fastest-growing markets — hospitality, mobility, and payments — are underserved by global platforms that weren't designed for local realities.
Airbnb charges in dollars. Uber's pool system gives passengers no choice. Cross-border payments cost 3-5x the global average. These aren't technology problems — they're design decisions made by companies that don't build for Africa.
We build differently. StayVia launched with a Naira-native wallet, escrow protection, and government ID verification — because that's what the Nigerian market needs. CoRide gives passengers control over ride-sharing — because Lagos commuters already share rides informally, they just need better tools. GoPay is building the payment layer that connects all of it.
Every product ships with real infrastructure: integrated payment systems, robust databases, government identity verification, and automated operations. We don't ship prototypes. We ship production systems.
